Commissioned by Esther Duncan, as a gift for her son’s wedding: “for Steve and Katie” June 29, 2013

“Poeme d’amour” was created at the request of a mother for her son’s wedding.  Her son was a jazz trombone player, so she wanted something of that nature, but also a love song, to be given as a gift from him to his bride at the time of their union and premiered for her during the ceremony itself.
